NOT JUST YET

Few days ago I read an interesting article (well at least I think it is interesting). Someone wrote that today’s 2-stroke engines are coming to its end sooner rather that later. Well, who came blame the guy to make such statement? 2-stroke engine is not environmental friendly, which is one of the most important aspects in today’s technology. The fuel consumption is also not so good. In fact, the 2-stroke engine also needs extra care with the 2T oil, which makes it in a category of high maintenance vehicles. So why did Dugald Clerk work his ass off in 1880 to design such engine which have so many flaws? Well, the truth is 2-stoke engine have more that just flaws to offer. The engine is by far one of the most high power-to-weight ratio engines, (small size with big power generation) and also has a simple design which makes it cheaper to manufacture. This is why we need to do something about current status of 2-stroke engines. Yes, it has some flaws, but we must look at the bigger picture. We all know current alternative energies fuzz, hybrid vehicles etc. are the future of current technology, but are we ready to abandon one of the most interesting creations by human being? I say not just yet. Let’s do something about it. Let’s be creative .Let’s rebuild it. If you have a house that has given you so much and now the house is old and crooked, will you just abandon the house and buy new house? NO! You refurbish the house and give it new breathe, new life. Well it is the same with 2-stroke engine, and I will say it again…NOT JUST YET!
